If you are in the sun, wearing a chapstick with SPF is a great idea. Other ways to protect your lips from the sun are staying in the shade and wearing wide brim hats whenever possible.

Drink Alcoholic Beverages In Moderation

Having a drink after a long and stressful day is a coping mechanism for a lot of people, but if you are considering indulging in an alcoholic beverage, be sure to do so in moderation. Overindulging in alcoholic beverages can put you at risk of developing oral cancer. This happens because too much alcohol consumption can irritate the cells in your mouth making them vulnerable to developing the disease.

It’ recommended that women keep their alcohol intake to about a drink a day and men 65 years old or younger, about two drinks a day.
